I have traded with many prop firms over the past 10+ years. This is the first time a firm has retroactively deleted six figures in legitimate, rule-compliant profit with zero prior warning, zero cited rule violation, and zero meaningful explanation. What happened: On January 29, 2025 I was trading a funded Upscale account — fully manual trades, no automation, no latency abuse, no prohibited strategies. I generated very substantial profit (six figures). The next day (Jan 30), the entire profit was erased. The account balance was silently rolled back to the previous day — not marked as breached, just reset. Support’s eventual explanation (after many messages): there was a technical update in progress, prices were “abnormal”, some users accumulated “huge PNL”, so they “fixed it” and rolled back affected accounts. Major issues: No real warning or disclosure Trading remained fully enabled during the entire period. No in-app maintenance banner or warning appeared while I was trading (I have video and screenshot proof). The Telegram announcement they linked (t.me/upscale_news_en/183) mentioned an update but never stated that prices could be unreliable, trades could be voided retroactively, or users should stop trading. No email, no popup, no post-incident notice. Refusal to cite any actual rule I asked — repeatedly and politely — for the exact clause in the Terms of Use that allows: Keeping trading live during a known technical issue Retroactively removing executed positions Recalculating / resetting balances without notice Defining “abnormal prices” as something users must self-diagnose in real time They never quoted a single section. Just repeated “you agreed to the terms” and “protocol abuse”. Unsubstantiated “protocol abuse” accusation They repeatedly claimed I “abused the protocol” by trading while “knowing prices were abnormal”. No timestamps provided No screenshots of supposed abnormal prices on my trades No rule quoted defining what “abnormal” means or requiring users to stop trading when they suspect a glitch Simply making money during a live trading session is not abuse absent a clear, published rule. Support experience was poor No escalation path offered Decision called “final” (made by devs) No supervisor or compliance contact provided Aggressive responses including “good luck” and ticket closed abruptly Gaslighting tone: “everything has been explained”, “all questions answered” — when none of my core questions (rule citation, evidence, definition) were actually answered. My request was modest: Not asking for the glitch profits to be honored. Only asked for reasonable remediation: refund of the account fee or replacement account credit — due to trading during an undisclosed platform fault with zero transparency or post-incident communication. They refused. Bottom line: Upscale has very broad rights to fix errors — most traders accept that. What is completely unacceptable is doing it with: zero meaningful disclosure zero cited policy zero evidence of wrongdoing immediate accusations of abuse zero accountability or appeal process This is not professional prop firm behavior. It destroys trust. I have full documentation: trade videos, account statements before/after, screenshots showing no banner, complete support transcript. Traders considering Upscale should be extremely cautious — record everything, and be aware that large profits can apparently be removed silently with no real recourse. Would not recommend until they dramatically improve transparency and support quality.
