What I liked least about Topstep is the 50% profit-sharing model. While I understand the need for the firm to share in the profits as part of their business model, I found this rate to be somewhat high. It can be challenging to see a significant portion of the profits earned from successful trades go to the firm. This aspect made me wish for a more favorable split that rewards the trader's efforts and skills a bit more generously.

It's the best futures prop firm, the rules are simple enough to follow and with sales the entry cost is on the cheaper side relative to its competitors. Quick payouts and amazing customer service. I always recommend Topstep to friends and family.

The end of day trailing drawdown made it a lot easier to follow the drawdown rules and the consistency rules made it so that I am passing the challenge using good risk management and trading model.
The payout rules are a little different from other futures props, as in order to receive the normal profit split I have to have 30 profitable trading days and up until that point I can only receive 50% of the profit earned.

topstep is a very reliable company. Their spread rates are very low. The merge fees are also very affordable, but there is a one-time payment of $150 after you pass the merge. this was a bit interesting for me. After you pass the merge, you become an express funded account. in order to withdraw money from this account, you need to earn $200 for at least 5 days. this might be the most negative feature of this company.

As difficult as it was to abide by there rules, you gain discipline. I have noticed my trading improve exponentially because the way they set up their trading accounts.
At first it was the $1,000 daily loss limit. Once you tapped that limit you can't trade until the next session. I had a difficult time appreciating this limit. I notice now why having it in your trading plan is a smart choice.

I loved trading futures on via tradingview very smooth and simple executions right there on ur TA, the only downside is when you get funded you can only trade with 2 large contracts (50k account) but when you scale up the account you get acces to more contracts

The rules are perfect for every trader. One step only, you are have a daily dd limit which locks your account for the day and prevents you from overtrading, revenge trading and losing the account. The dashboard offers light journaling, which is not bad but not a big plus. The Coach T idea is also good but that pretty much never loads for me so I rarely benefit from it. The support is quick and responsive. The risk managers follow you once funded and always ready to help if you need them.

This firm is very beginner friendly. Decent price to start with sales from time to time. Max 3 XFAS and 1 Live account. Which is good if you are truly a beginner because no one really needs 10+ accounts while trying to find their personal trading style. Purchasing a combine also gets you a practice account so you can test other strategies without hindering your evaluation. Dashboard keeps track of your trades.
